Sequoyah District

 

The Sequoyah District encompasses Bartow and Gordon Counties, with Calhoun, GA at the geographic center of the council. Scouting units are spread throughout both counties, with almost every incorporated municipality having at least one Scouting unit. The largest population centers are Cartersville in Bartow County and Calhoun in Gordon County. Both cities are the economic hubs of their respective counties, with both economies strongly influenced by the carpet and related industries.

Sequoyah District boasts many interests and activities for tourists and residents alike, with such attractions as the Booth Western Museum, the Weinman Rock & Mineral Museum, the Etowah Indian Mounds and many, many others.
